Making a downtown business celebration a Midwest media attraction.
The award-winning Fondue Fest, Presented by BrownBoots Interactive, The Reporter and The Action Advertiser, returns to downtown Fond du Lac on Saturday, September 6, 2008. The festival, now in its second year, will introduce exciting changes and bring back much-loved favorites for a full day of great family fun, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year, the festival is proud to welcome three outstanding presenters. BrownBoots Interactive, Inc., is an advertising agency offering website development, print advertising, CD-rom and other services and is located downtown at 108 S. Main St. The Fond du Lac Reporter daily newspaper and the Action Advertiser biweekly newspaper are the primary mass media in the Fond du Lac market.
As usual, fondue will be front and center. In a new twist, the wonderful chefs at Moraine Park Technical College’s Culinary Arts Program will do the cooking honors, creating a cheese fondue and a chocolate fondue. Downtown merchants will join in my creating their own fondue concoctions for visitors. And of course, the 2007 Guinness World Record-winning Largest Fondue Set will be on display.
Many of the festival favorites will return. The Kids’ Fun-Due Zone, presented by Wood’s Floral & Gifts, will fill downtown’s Sheboygan Street with free kids’ games and activities. The Giddings & Lewis Music Stage will bring great live music to the festival. And the Main to Marian: Agnesian HealthCare’s Family Fun Bicycle Ride will return for a non-competitive bike ride for the whole family. And of course, Main Street will be lined with merchants’ booths, Farmers Market, arts and crafts vendors and lots of great food and drink for sale.
