Great music lineup for September 11 Fondue Fest

August 3, 2010

The award-winning Fondue Fest returns to Downtown Fond du Lac on Saturday, September 11. The festival, now in its fourth year, will bring back much-loved favorites and more for a full day of great family fun, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The festival will offer three stages, including a day of music on the South Stage, near Main and Fourth streets. The Kevin Fayte Rock & Roll Trio will kick off the musical festivities at 10 a.m. Next up, at 12:30 p.m., is Hot Pursuit with high-energy mix of upbeat favorites from all genres. The wildly popular Copper Box will wrap up the day of music with a set that starts at 3 p.m. They’ll bring their Americana-roots, rock-polka inspired music.

Naturally, fondue will be front and center. The talented chefs at Moraine Park Technical College’s Culinary Arts Program will do the cooking honors, creating a cheese fondue and a chocolate fondue for sale at their stand on Forest Avenue and Main Street. And of course, the 2007 Guinness World Record-winning Largest Fondue Set will be on display.

Main Street will be closed to traffic and lined with more than 90 merchants’ booths, Farmers Market vendors, arts and crafts vendors and lots of great food and drink for sale.
